Accessible Trails Webinar Recording
On September 25, 2024, Hike Nova Scotia presented an Accessible Trails webinar geared for trail managers. Chloe MacDonald provided a brief overview of disability and took a deep dive into best practices for how to make the natural world as accessible and inclusive as possible. It included planning and evaluation basics that will provide a foundation for improving trails across Nova Scotia. Chloe MacDonald is a a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, a Designated Professional with the Rick Hansen Foundation and Owner of AccessiBUILD. View the webinar recording here.

Tip Sheets to Remove Accessibility Barriers
Tourism NS has several tip sheets that are applicable to trails to help you make your trails more accessible and welcoming to those with disabilities. Of particular interest are the Access and Inclusion for Visitors with Disabilities sheet and the Activities, Festivals, & Events Sector sheet.
