Patagonia Halifax, 408-1496 Lower Water Street

In Hike Nova Scotia’s Walkabout: Behind the Scenes talk, hosted by Patagonia Halifax, Andrew Younger of Whalesong Productions will take you behind the scenes of filming for the Walkabout show. It will take place at 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 16 at Patagonia Halifax in downtown Halifax (408-1496 Lower Water Street).

Andrew will reveal what it takes to film the trails, how they go about it, and of course, show lots of photos and outtakes.

Presenter
Andrew Younger is the director, writer and host of the Walkabout show. From hillwalking in Cape Breton to the rocky trails of the South Shore, Walkabout takes you on Nova Scotia's unique trails, profiling the natural beauty to be found on each one. Episodes from four seasons are available on YouTube. Season 5 can be viewed on Eastlink. In 1999, after Andrew spent a year working with CBC Television News, he moved to Whalesong Productions into television documentary production and electronic news gathering. The business quickly grew, providing content for major Canadian, US, and European broadcasters on the television side, as well as photography and written content for magazines and newspapers. Andrew and Whalesong Productions won awards for its work and developed a stable of clients on almost every continent and delivered projects in environments ranging from sea bound Tall Ships, to the Sub-Saharan desert, to northern Canada and under the ocean.

This clinic is offered in partnership with WalkaboutPatagonia Halifax and the Nova Scotia Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage.
